Vasiliy Salygin wishes Anastasia Tzarapenko a happy birthday and promises to help record her first song CD
Today, on 1 January 2007, Anastasia Tzarapenko, the laureate of many International, national and regional competitions celebrates her ninth birthday. The Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Council Vasiliy Salygin has come to wish the gifted girl a happy birthday.

Answering Vasiliy Salygin's question about the gift she would like to receive, Anastasia said she dreams of setting up a shelter-care facility for stray animals. The Tzarapenko family has already sheltered some cats and dogs, seven pets altogether, all of which Nastya picked in the street and brought home.

Vasiliy Salygin presented Nastya with a computer - another dream she had had for a long time - as well as with toys and sweets. Anastasia's parents were very touched because, as they said, "many promised to help, but nothing actually happened".

The Tzarapenko family are very much into music - Nastya's mother and grandmother have received education in music. At the birthday cake Anastasia's mother Marina Tzarapenko said that "the girl got into music when she was only three years old, at the age of four she went to a music school, and at the age five she already sang gipsy romances". At the present moment she studies at the music school for gifted children at the Conservatoire.

Between 2004 and 2006 Anastasia became the laureate of International competitions which took place in Donetsk and Yalta, received the Grand Prix of the Fifth Open Biennale of children's creativity, won the first prize of Ukrainian national competitions of "Zolotaya Notka" and "Barvistiy Vinochok" and became the winner in many regional creativity competitions. According to experts, the girl has a "rare gift of God which should be cherished and protected".

Anastasia's unique vocal gift is not her only talent. She is seriously engaged at the Kharkiv Ballet Theatre. She is equally good at sciences and humanities - Anastasia studies the German and English languages and mathematics. A short time ago she also won a competition in asphalt drawing.

Anastasia performs in different parts of Ukraine very often. However, she still doesn't have a token of her creativity - an author's compact disc. The Tzarapenko family has not so far been able to record a disk with songs performed by Nastya. The Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Council Vasiliy Salygin has promised that such compact disc will soon be recorded. "Happiness to your house!" was Vasiliy Salygin's wish to the Tzarapenko family as he took his leave.
